Tuesday, 11 June 2024: A family-friendly fun day and Kids Eat Free Fridays are on the menu at Farm & Co Restaurant this winter, so plan a day trip to the stunning Tweed Valley over the coming months, or make the most of the winter school holidays from 22nd June to & 7th July (QLD) 6th July to 21st July (NSW) and enjoy a true farm-to-plate experience.
Day on the Lawn – Sunday 30th June Pack a picnic blanket and get primed for a family-friendly day out, complete with a farm-to-plate dining experience and fun activities for the family.
Farm & Co Restaurant is nestled on a family-owned organic farm in Cudgen on the Tweed Coast, just a half-hour drive from the Gold Coast and 90 minutes from South Brisbane.
On the last Sunday of every month, a family-friendly Day on the Lawn event is available for an afternoon of festivities, with different themes and activities.
On Sunday 30th June, there will be activities and crafts by Kakes & Biscuits for the kiddies and local singer-songwriter Danny Dyson will set the soundtrack for the lawn games. From 12pm to 3pm, roll out a picnic rug and relax on the lawn, overlooking sunflower fields and rich paddocks. Entry is $10 per adult (age 15+) and $5 per child (age 3-14), entry for infants under the age of three is free of charge. Pre-order a well-stocked Picnic Box, or the coal-fire BBQ offers a selection of delicious smoky skewers and coal-fired eats. Separate farm passes can be purchased via the adjacent Farm Café (which is ran by the farm owners, not the restaurant owners), allowing families to wander onto the farm to pick and purchase sunflowers, collect macadamia nuts and possibly meet two beloved rescue pigs, Hank and Pepe. Kids Eat Free – every Friday until 30th August Join Farm & Co Restaurant each Friday throughout winter and enjoy a family-friendly dining experience where one child can eat for free with a full paying adult. Children can explore the new kids’ play area or enjoy games on the restaurant lawn, while parents can relax with a true farm-to-plate dining experience overlooking the sunflower and produce fields. Add the code ‘Family Friday’ to online bookings to receive the complimentary kids dining option. With the restaurant overlooking the enclosed lawn area, where the children can romp and soak up farm views, and farm passes available to be purchased when the adjacent café is open, a visit to Farm & Co Restaurant promises to be fun-filled.
